EGOLF stands for "European Group of Organisations for Fire Testing, Inspection and Certification".  It is the main representative body for third party, independent and nationally recognized organizations involved at a European level in the fire testing of materials, components or products in support of fire safety legislation. Such organizations may in addition be involved in inspection and/or certification related to fire safety legislation. EGOLF activities are mainly centred on passive fire protection.

Vision and Quality

EGOLF members have a reputation throughout Europe for the quality of their services.  All laboratories must have accreditation to EN ISO/IEC 17025 and, where relevant, EN ISO/IEC 17020 and EN ISO/IEC 17065.  Attendance at EGOLF Harmonisation Courses for the key Euroclassification fire tests helps to ensure that all members carry out the tests in a consistent manner.

Membership

Members of EGOLF are recognised throughout Europe for the high quality of service which they offer and enjoy numerous benefits including access to an online Helpdesk Forum and participation in harmonisation courses, comparative testing and round robins.
